Meet the artist

A Framer’s Touch invites the community to welcome a new “Featured Artist” solo exhibit, for local watercolor artist Lieta Gratteri. Lieta was kind enough to give us a behind the scenes tour of her studio. Take a look at the beautiful pieces she is currently working on and learn a little bit about her process!

A Framer’s Touch invites the community to welcome a new “Featured Artist” solo exhibit, for local watercolor artist Pat Cochran. Pat is a long-time Banks resident who is inspired by her Faith, as well as mother nature and all of her beautiful creations.

We got an opportunity to talk with Valerie Pace-Donley before her upcoming show. She discusses her love for art, her inspiration, and even gives us a sneak peak at some of the pieces in her upcoming show!

We sat down with Lieta Gratteri before her upcoming show as our featured artist to learn more about her relationship with local galleries and what she’s looking forward to display in the show.

Strip Lining Canvas w/ BEVA Video

Ever wondered how we “stretch” a canvas that has little to no remnant?

Join us behind the curtain and find out!

Watch as Kristen uses a product called BEVA to add material to the existing canvas, so that it can be properly stretched and framed.uly, it took heroism to survive.

Prisoner of War

After surviving 4 ½ years in captivity as a prisoner of war, a Lieutenant in the British Royal Artillary finally made it home to his family. Along with years of mental and emotional scars, he also brought home with him a single pair of shorts.

These shorts had been with him through horrific beatings, torture, forced labor and countless other human atrocities. They were battered and scarred , but just like the Lieutenant, they had survived. They made the journey home with the Lieutenant, and have served as a reminder of what he had survived.

When the Lieutenant passed away the shorts were handed down to his daughter, who brought them to us to protect, preserve, and display.

These shorts will forever be a reminder of the selfless sacrifices the Lieutenant made for his country and family, and we were so honored preserve them for future generations.
