A Framer’s Touch – Gallery Agreement for Display and Sale of Works of Fine Art

Show Dates: June 3rd – July 1st
Contract deadline & payment: ASAP
Promotional info by: May 3rd
Artwork drop off date: May 20th – 24th
Opening reception: Saturday, June 7th (Up to Artist)
Artwork Pick up date: July 3rd
1. Delivery of Inventory for Exhibit or Sale
The Artist agrees to deliver to the Gallery all works of art in a condition suitable for exhibition or sale. The details of each piece, including title, medium, dimensions, and sale price, must be documented on the Artist Inventory Sheet, which is incorporated into this agreement.
Delivery of artwork, either by the Artist or on their behalf, must occur on or before the delivery date specified by the Gallery.
2. Display, Sale Price, Commission, and Fees
Display and Sales Authorization: The Artist grants the Gallery the right to display the artwork for sale during the designated exhibit dates. By signing this agreement, the Artist also grants permission for their artwork to be used in Gallery advertising and publications.
Pricing and Sales: The selling price of each piece, as listed on the Artist Inventory Sheet, is final and cannot be altered without written consent from the Artist.
Rental Fee: The Artist agrees to pay a non-refundable rental fee of $200. This fee covers wall space, display services, and the facilitation of sales for all submitted works.
Commission: The Gallery will retain a 5% commission from the selling price of each work to cover banking surcharges.
Unsold Artwork: If a piece remains unsold, the Artist must reclaim it within 7 days of the exhibit’s conclusion.
Payment Timeline: For sold works, the Gallery will pay the Artist their proceeds within approximately 30 days following the close of the exhibit.
3. Liability
The Gallery will handle all artwork with professional care while it is in the Gallery’s possession. However:
The Artist acknowledges that minor damage may occur even in well-managed environments.
The Artist is responsible for insuring their artwork. The Gallery is not responsible for loss, theft, or damage.
4. Copyright
· Copyright is the responsibility of the artist.
5. Agreement Acknowledgment
By signing below, the Artist agrees to the terms outlined in this agreement.
