A Framer's Touch competed in the 2016-17 international framing competition. The subject was "Grandma's Buttons" and required participants to frame, in full-preservation technique, 7 antique buttons of their choosing.
After nearly 80 man-hours, Kristen and Emma successfully executed their vision and submitted the framed buttons to the first round of judging at the Regional level. They took first place and popular choice!
In the following months, they prepared the frame to ship to Las Vegas for the International level of judging. Kristen and Emma flew down to Las Vegas at the end of January to attend the framing convention for educational seminars and to view the international competition frames. They were very impressed with how their peer framers around the world approached the buttons; and A Framer's Touch was voted popular choice again.
